Human Resources (HR) Intern

General Description:

The HR Intern will be working closely with the Human Resources Team, to learn all aspect of BHA and the HR department and systems. The BHA is going through some great transformation as an organization and many HR projects have been launched around Employee Engagement, Empowerment, and Professional Development. Some of the pilot projects are still being planned out – so this is a great time for an intern to join our team and learn how organizational programs around change management are created, piloted, launched and implemented. The Human Resources department is also transitioning onto different digital platforms which will provide the intern an opportunity to work with different software and systems.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with all department managers and HR team to update Dept. Org Charts
  • Help map out HR processes and procedures; especially around the new hire process
  • Assist with implementation of a new Applicant Tracking System with an onboarding module
  • Assist in compliance training and tracking completed certifications
  • Take part in team meetings and track decisions and progress made
  • Lead and assist in other ongoing projects as assigned by the Human Resources Director.

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Docs required.
  • Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Solid verbal and written communications skills
  • Disciplined work ethic and a curious/investigative nature
  • Ability to work efficiently, work effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Highly organized and detail oriented;
  • Ability to manage highly confidential material in a mature, professional manner.

 

We are seeking to hire an HR Intern beginning Sept 2025. Core hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM daily with a one-hour lunch break.
