Overview
Right Choice Janitorial Supply is seeking a Service Technician to join our equipment service team. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical and electrical janitorial equipment—such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet extractors—while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on mechanical and electrical janitorial equipment.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and parts replacement.
Document work performed, parts used, and service recommendations in work orders.
Assist senior technicians with complex repairs and equipment installations.
Communicate with customers and internal staff to provide updates and explain repair needs in plain language.
Maintain a clean and organized workshop and follow all safety guidelines.
Assist other internal departments in daily operations as needed.
Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of electrical systems preferred, on the job training provided; formal training, experience, and technical coursework a plus.
Ability to read and follow manuals, schematics, and safety procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable using basic hand tools and test equipment.
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
Spanish fluency is a plus.
High school diploma or college degree a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or bend for extended periods.
Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals and moving equipment.
