Job Summary:
An Electrical Engineer designs, develops, and supervises the manufacture of electrical equipment, components, and systems. Electrical Engineers are involved in various stages of a project, from initial design to manufacturing support and troubleshooting. The Electrical Engineer works with various cross-functional groups to plan, execute, and finalize projects, focusing on technical details while also managing timelines, budgets, and resources to exceed customer expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design & Development
- Reviewing customer specifications and national codes to create electrical schematics, panel layout drawings, and electrical component selections to meet project objectives.
- Producing clear and concise work instructions to the production team to ensure that design expectations are easily communicated and understood.
- Manufacturing and Production Support
- Collaborating with the production team to ensure that designs and standards are rigorously adhered to during the manufacturing process.
- Testing and Validation
- Implementing test methods and procedures for efficient, accurate, and safe validation of industrial electrical equipment.
- Compliance and Documentation
- Ensuring adherence to national standards, preparing technical reports and specifications, and managing the necessary paperwork for upholding various 3rd party certifications (UL, CSA, etc.).
- Collaboration and Communication
- Communicating clearly and concisely with other engineering disciplines to appropriately design equipment that meets or exceeds national codes and customer expectations.
- Problem Solving and Troubleshooting
- Identifying and resolving issues during the design, installation, or implementation of an industrial solution provided by the company.
- Project and Time Management
- Managing multiple project timelines while demonstrating a strong sense of time management to meet a variety of project and company objectives.

Education:
4-Year Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering from an Accredited College or University
Experience:
- Previous Engineering Internship or Similar Work Experience
- Leadership Roles within an Extra-Curricular Activity or Organization preferred
- Volunteering Experience preferred
