Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Intern

Position Overview

Our New Mexico office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Intern to support our appraisal team and gain hands-on exposure to commercial real estate valuation. This internship is ideal for sophomore or junior students interested in pursuing a career in commercial real estate appraisal.

Interns will work directly with experienced appraisers and analysts and will be involved in real valuation assignments across a variety of commercial property types.

Responsibilities

Assist with commercial property and market research

Collect, review, and organize property data and comparable sales

Support property inspections by taking photos and field notes

Help prepare appraisal exhibits and draft report sections

Enter and review data in internal databases and Excel models

Review public records, zoning information, and market data

Minimum Requirements

Currently enrolled at the University of New Mexico as a sophomore or junior

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (real estate, finance, economics, business, or related field preferred)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Interest in commercial real estate and property valuation

Analytical mindset and comfort working with numbers and data

Organized, reliable, and eager to learn in a professional setting

Interest in a long-term career in commercial real estate appraisal
