Cost Management Intern (Summer 2026)

Miami, FL | 10–12 weeks | June 2026

As a Cost Management Intern, you'll work on high-profile projects that actually matter: luxury residential developments, cutting-edge commercial spaces, and tech-forward facilities. You'll sit alongside senior professionals, contribute to real deliverables, and walk away with skills that set you apart from your peers.

 

What You'll Actually Do

  • Assist with cost plans and estimates that inform major project decisions
  • Master project documentation and data management at professional standards
  • Navigate pricing research, vendor negotiations, and procurement strategy
  • Contribute to winning proposals and client presentations
  • Get hands-on with construction technology, contracts, and real-world problem solving
  • Collaborate in team meetings and interact directly with clients
  • Build your professional network with industry leaders
  • Gain exposure to CSI MasterFormat, construction specifications, and measurement methods
  • Support change order analysis and contract administration
  • Learn value engineering and cost control techniques

 

Who We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Strong communicator - both written and verbal
  • Organized, proactive, and genuinely interested in learning
  • Analytically minded with attention to detail
  • Someone who thrives working independently and as part of a team
  • Real interest in cost consulting and project delivery
  • On track for strong academic performance

Bonus Points

  • Proficiency in Excel, BIM, or cost management software such as CostX
  • Interest in pursuing professional chartership (RICS/AACE)

The Details

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate ($30-40/hour range, commensurate with experience and education level)
