Brand Ambassador/Market Assistant (Seasonal, Contract)

Position Overview

This is a sales-focused, customer-facing role where your energy, confidence, and ability to connect with people directly impact daily sales.

We’re looking for someone outgoing, reliable, and motivated to represent our brand at local markets and pop-up events. You will be the face of Wandering Child Co., helping customers discover pieces they love while creating a memorable shopping experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales: Actively engage customers and meet or exceed daily sales goals
  • Customer Engagement: Start conversations, build rapport, and guide customers to purchase
  • Brand Storytelling: Share the value of handmade, heirloom-quality, ethically made pieces
  • Booth Setup & Breakdown: full setup before opening and breakdown after events
  • Visual Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and aesthetically aligned booth display
  • POS Operations: Process transactions and manage inventory using Shopify


Schedule

  • Saturdays (Atlanta): March – December | ~7:00 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Sundays (Smyrna): May – October | ~9:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Seasonal, part-time (hours vary slightly by locations). Please note that most markets are rain or shine. Must be comfortable working outside regardless of weather conditions.


Requirements

  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and confidence approaching customers
  • Comfortable with sales and closing purchases
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Ability to stand outdoors for extended periods
  • Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs
  • Comfortable using or learning mobile POS systems (Shopify)


Pay & Incentives

  • Entry Level: $10/hour + 10% commission on sales over daily sales goal
  • Experienced (with verifiable references): $15/hour + 10% commission on sales over daily sales goal

Commission is on net sales excluding sales tax. High performers may have opportunities for additional markets and increased hours.
