Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen organization, and supporting line cooks and chefs to ensure efficient service. This role is essential in maintaining quality, consistency, and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients for service including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, making sauces, and assembling basic dishes

Follow recipes and kitchen prep lists to ensure consistency and efficiency

Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift

Label and store food properly following food safety guidelines

Assist with stocking and rotating inventory (FIFO)

Help with receiving and organizing deliveries

Support line cooks during service when needed

Follow all health and safety regulations

Assist with daily and weekly cleaning tasks

Qualifications

Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred but not required

Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen equipment

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and organization

Ability to follow instructions and recipes

Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
