Digital/Rapid Response Coordinator
Position Overview:
The Republican Party of Wisconsin (RPW) is seeking a strategic and creative Digital/Rapid Response Coordinator to join our team and drive digital communication initiatives and assist with general communications. The ideal candidate will have expereince creating graphics and using various social media platforms. This is an entry-level position. WISGOP is looking for an intuitive self-starter to assist in drafting and executing on earned media strategy with the Communications Director. The Digital/Rapid Response Coordinator would also work with the press as directed by the Communications Director or Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Communications & Content Creation
Develop and manage the RPW’s social media presence across all major platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), creating compelling, on-brand content that engages supporters and reaches new audiences.
Amplify core Republican messaging through organic and paid digital channels.
Monitor the news cycle and political landscape in real-time to identify rapid response opportunities, counter Democratic misinformation, and proactively defend Wisconsin Republicans.
2. Rapid Response & Crisis Communications
Assist with rapid response efforts, crafting quick-turnaround digital content, statements, and rebuttals to negative press or misleading claims.
Develop proactive digital strategies to address emerging issues and protect the Party’s reputation.
3. Internal & Stakeholder Communications
Create and manage internal communications for County Parties, activists, and the Housefile, including newsletters, messaging emails, and targeted fundraising appeals.
Support broader communications initiatives as directed by the Communications Director.
4. Digital Advertising & Strategy
Design, launch, and optimize targeted digital advertising campaigns across platforms.
Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies in real time to maximize reach, engagement, and impact.
Work with the Communications Director to develop comprehensive communications strategies, including influencer partnerships and multi-channel digital campaigns.
5. Messaging Strategy Development
Identify key issues and target audiences for effective messaging.
Draft high-quality communications materials, including on-the-record statements, op-eds, memos, talking points, and other content.
Qualifications:
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and timely content under deadline pressure.
Proficiency with design tools (especially Canva), email marketing platforms (Campaign Monitor or similar), and major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok).
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak campaign periods.
Preferred: Familiarity with Wisconsin’s political landscape, key issues, and voter coalitions.
Experience in political communications, digital strategy, marketing, or advocacy, with a proven track record in fast-paced political or campaign environments.
Experience with digital advertising platforms and analytics tools.
