Accounting Intern

We’re looking for a motivated Accounting Intern who wants real-world experience inside a growing real estate development company. In this part-time, in-office role, you’ll work closely with our Senior Accountant and CFO, build practical accounting skills, and gain exposure to the financial side of active development projects. This is a great opportunity for a student or recent graduate who wants meaningful hands-on experience, mentorship, and a strong foundation in accounting and finance.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support the accounts payable process and help keep transactions organized and accurate
  • Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations for active development projects
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and other recurring accounting tasks
  • Help maintain organized digital records in a paperless environment
  • Work with the finance team on day-to-day accounting operations and special projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • College junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting; interest in the CPA track is a plus
  • Prior accounting, bookkeeping, or reconciliation experience is helpful but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well with a team
  • Clear interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with MRI, SharePoint, or similar tools is a plus
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, professional, and able to manage deadlines

Our office is located in downtown San Diego, and office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is an hourly, part-time internship position of approximately 12–16 hours per week, with some flexibility to support your schedule. We offer competitive hourly pay.
