Child Care Assistant Teacher

We are looking for a Child Care Assistant Teachers to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children in our facility. You will assist our lead teachers and help supervise the children while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination. 

Students on a childcare/child-related education pathway are encouraged to apply. Paid internships are available for those pursuing their CDA.

Responsibilities
• Follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material.
• Provide basic care and caregiving activities.
• Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child's abilities.
• Remain in constant communication with our lead teachers to update them on the progress of the children.
• Identify behavioral problems and help to determine the right course of action.
• Collaborate with other colleagues.
• Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by MiLEAP licensing.
• Demonstrate knowledge of child development and education methods.
• Methodical and creative.
• Patience, flexibility and love for children.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Previous childcare experience or a degree in early childhood education is a huge plus, but not necessary. 
 

Job Types: Part-time
Expected hours: 20-40 per week
