About Us: Greater Nashville Pool Management, part of The Pool Management Group, provides professional pool management, lifeguard, and attendant services throughout the greater Nashville area. We are dedicated to water safety, excellent customer service, and creating a fun, safe environment. Lifeguards are vital members of our well-trained, responsive Summer team. 

Lifeguard Job Summary: A Lifeguard is responsible for supervising, enforcing pool rules, and preventing accidents to ensure a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment. Our lifeguards represent GNPM’s commitment to safety and service, helping protect guests while delivering friendly, professional interactions. 

Key Responsibilities Water Safety and Surveillance: 

• Obtain an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification through a Red Cross class, provided by GNPM or obtained from another provider, in order to be eligible for employment as a Lifeguard. 
• Maintain constant surveillance of pool areas and patrons to prevent unsafe activities. Respond immediately and appropriately to emergencies, including water rescues and first aid situations.
•  Enforce facility rules and policies in a respectful and consistent manner. 
• Test pool water to ensure water chemistry is kept within a safe range. - 
• Customer Service and Facility Cleanliness: Greet and assist swimmers and guests with questions, directions, and general pool etiquette. 
• Promote a positive, inclusive pool environment that encourages fun and safety. 
• Ensure facility cleanliness to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all guests. Responsibilities include regular cleaning of the pool, deck, restrooms, and upkeep of furniture and the pump room. Overall, facility cleanliness and maintenance support a professional, enjoyable, and hazard-free aquatic experience for patrons.
