Rehab Assistant

Rehab Assistant for a occupational/physical therapy practice in midtown, Manhattan.  Practice specializes in breast cancer rehab, post opertive lymphatic therapy and lymphedema.  Looking for a rehab assistant for 3-4 days per week initially and potential for 5 days per week.  Willing to train; no rehab experience required but preference will be given to experienced applicants.  M-T-Th and Wednesday would be the 4th day, hours vary ie 9am-5pm, 9:30pm-5:30pm, 10am-6pm or 10:30-6:30pm.  Overtime available.  Wonderful learning opportunity for anyone interested in the physical sciences/allied health professions, exercise training and/or massage therapy.  *Potential for growth for someone who contributes positively to the practice. 
 

Responsibilities include greeting and setting up of patients on heat/ice, exercise machines etc. before and after sessions as well as cleaning and maintaining treatment devices, tools and rooms.  Assisting with the flow of the schedule in order to keep appointments running on time by coordinating with practitioners and receptionist on treatment in order to prepare spaces, equipment and items necessary for each session.  Assisting patients with prescribed therapeutic exercise as appropriate.  Recording and photographing of home exercise programs.  Content creation, editing and posting of in office activities, treatment and events required (IG/FB, TikTok, LinkedIn).
