About us: QC Electronics builds corona treatment systems for the packaging industry — the equipment that makes ink and adhesive stick to plastic film. We've been family-owned in Portage since 1988. Our machines ship all over the world, and they're built here by a small crew, start to finish.
The work: Our assemblers build complete machines — reading the print, wiring the panel, machining and fitting the parts, and crating the finished unit.
Day to day, you'll:
- Read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and BOMs to assemble units to spec
- Run cable, tubing, and wiring; position and fit parts to tolerance
- Measure with micrometers, calipers, and verniers
- Do basic milling on a vertical machine; operate the jib crane and waterjet
- Crate and prep finished units for shipping
- Keep your bench, your tools, and your work in good order
What you bring:
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn quickly
- Someone who takes pride in doing it right the first time
What we offer:
- Health / dental insurance
- 401(k) + 3% match
- PTO, paid sick days, paid holidays, paid birthday holiday
