Investment Analyst
Position Description: Investment Analyst
About Us
Ridgepeak Partners is a private equity firm that partners with founder-operators to build category-leading platforms across durable, essential services industries. Our platforms leverage a high-velocity buy-and-build strategy to drive rapid organic and inorganic growth.
Position Overview
We're hiring an Investment Analyst to serve as a full-cycle deal professional across Ridgepeak's portfolio. Analysts partner with platform leadership and own transactions end to end: from proprietary origination and seller relationship-building through financial modeling, investment memos, offer terms, and diligence to close. Analysts also contribute to sector identification for future platform launches, honing research skills and investment judgment outside of a live deal environment.
This is a high-accountability, high-ownership role for someone who wants exposure to the full deal lifecycle early in their career and is motivated by competitive, measurable results.
Candidate Profile
Our ideal candidate is competitive, resourceful, and comfortable owning outcomes rather than just tasks. Successful candidates may come from backgrounds in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or other deal-intensive roles, though we hire strong analytical thinkers from any background who can show the same rigor and drive.
Regardless of background, candidates should be comfortable both picking up the phone to build a relationship with a business owner and building a financial model that leadership will rely on for a capital allocation decision. This is a demanding, fast-paced environment; we're looking for people who want ownership early and are willing to earn it.
Responsibilities
Deal Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Source acquisition targets through direct, proprietary outreach across Ridgepeak's target industries, building a growing pipeline and direct relationships with business owners and prospective sellers.
Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Analyze target company financial and operational data and build detailed valuation, structuring, and forecasting models that surface key value drivers and risks.
Investment Memos & Offer Preparation
- Prepare investment memos covering thesis, financial profile, and risks, structure offer terms and LOIs with leadership, and present recommendations concisely.
Due Diligence & Deal Execution
- Coordinate financial, legal, and operational diligence with counsel, advisors, and internal stakeholders to shepherd transactions from signed LOI through closing.
Market Research
- Track industry trends and market dynamics across Ridgepeak's target sectors, refine acquisition criteria, and research high-potential markets for future Ridgepeak platforms.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
- Competitive and motivated to win, with a genuine ownership mindset. Takes accountability for outcomes, not just activity.
- Clear, structured thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Intellectually curious and analytically rigorous. Comfortable with financial modeling; strong working proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to build trust quickly with senior stakeholders, including business owners and company leadership.
- Organized and detail-oriented under pressure, able to manage multiple live opportunities at once.
- Evidence of accountability, initiative, and teamwork through athletics, leadership positions, extracurricular involvement, or other performance-oriented activities.
- Bachelor's degree with a preferred GPA of >3.5.
- Willingness to work in person at our Austin headquarters.
Career Path & Benefits
The Investment Analyst role is a development track. Analysts who consistently convert pipeline into signed LOIs and demonstrate strong underwriting judgment are positioned for advancement into senior investment and deal leadership roles.
Compensation includes benefits, a competitive base salary, and a deal-based bonus structure tied to sourcing activity and deal execution.
