Product Analyst Intern

Specifically, within the private capital markets, we are redefining portfolio monitoring for investment managers of all shapes and sizes. Eligibility: Our next internship program runs through the summer of 2020. We’re looking for students who are working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent), and due to complete their studies and be available for a full time graduate role commencing in the summer of 2021.
 
We want to build a pipeline of exceptional emerging leaders. If you excel in your internship, you could be fast tracked onto our full-time graduate program!
 
The role
 
Understanding the latest trends and leveraging sharp analytical skills and specialized industry expertise, our analysts deliver the data rich insights that guide our clients in long term decision making. If you are passionate about building the story behind the data, and becoming an industry or product specialist, then the Analyst stream is for you. Opportunities within this stream include:

As a Product OwnerAnalyst, you are responsible for learning about our clients and understanding our users’ needs. This typically happens through research, data analysis, conversations with client-facing team members, and conversations with industry participants. These learnings will enable you to define enhancements that support our roadmap to better serve the Private Capital Markets and you will will be responsible for workingwork with a team of UX, development, and QA professionals to execute on that goal. team members across disciplines and around the world to define a roadmap, learn about our clients, and understand our users’ needs. This information and learning will enable you to translate your roadmap into epics and user stories with the help of your team. You will then lead that team of UX, development, and QA professionals in the execution of your roadmap.

 
To be successful in this role you will need to:
 
·        Enjoy learning about the needs of our users and the issues that they face
·        Be creative and analytical in your problem solving
·        Understand (learn) and communicate (teach) complex concepts from/to co-located and distributed team members
·        Know what it means to work in the foundations of an agile software development environment (this means understanding the concepts of of “MVP”, and having run standups, grooming / planning sessions, and retrospectives)
·           Be well practiced in writing user stories and creating mockups
·        Set up experiments and ask questions of data to understand user behaviors
·        Be comfortable presenting to large audiences (hey, you want to show off the work that you and your team have produced!)
·        Have, at minimum, a grasp of basic accounting and/or finance concepts (a bonus if you have experience with a VC/PE firm or fund manager)
