Position Summary:
GSE seeks a Director of Online Learning Communities to guide and implement the School’s vision for an inclusive, effective learning experience for all students. We seek an innovative and proactive instructional designer who will collaborate with faculty both to support the traditional online classroom and to build inclusive learning communities.
Responsibilities include:
• Online learning community development, and support
• Online program and course development, refinement, delivery, and review
• Develop and sustain systems for ensuring ongoing engagement in online and seated programs, as well as GSE-wide events and activities
• Professional development (best practices, tools, UBlearns)
• Expertise in technical assistance, best practices and ethical issues, and troubleshooting
• Advocacy for faculty and students.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of experience or Master’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Some experience with instructional design
Demonstrated ability to plan and implement innovative systems or services
Excellent communication and teaching or training skills
Demonstrated commitment to fostering student learning communities
