Concert Career Pathways Intern
The UC Theatre’s Concert Career Pathways Program teaches young people the technical, creative, and business aspects of concert and event promotion through hands-on workshops, work-based learning, career pathways and employment opportunities for people ages 17-25. This unique program is an integral part of The UC Theatre and aims to diversify the next generation of music industry professionals.
Through workshops and paid internships, participants learn best practices in production management, event coordination, stagehand, floor staff, live sound engineering, lighting design, event budgeting, box office operations, marketing, social media promotion, booking and more.
The program includes:
- Intro Workshops Series - 6 sessions (August 5th-7th /August 10th-12th )
- Program Orientation (August 14th)
- Shadow Shifts (August 17th - October)
- Paid Internships (Oct-May: 8 -14 hrs per week)
- Advanced Workshops, Industry Tours and Networking Opportunities (October - May)
