Project Manager

ANTICIPATED START DATE:  Two weeks after candidate identification
TRAVEL: As required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position
ASRT, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other Federal and private sector clients. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of ASRT, Inc., and will be assigned to the Waterborne Disease Prevention Branch (WDPB), Division of Foodborne, Waterborne and Environmental Diseases (DFWED), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID), at the CDC, located at 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA, to provide project management support to the Center.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Project Manager will provide support for the coordination and logistical support of development, deployment and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data collected from a national audience. The Project Manager will also provide engagement and guidance with internal and external stakeholders and scientists to ensure successful development and coordination of project deliverables and milestones.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor, coordinate, communicate and liaise between project stakeholders to promote successful completion of project objectives
  • Prepare and assist with preparation of documents and records of the work performed
  • Support planning and project management support of project initiatives
  • Perform periodic assessment and validation of findings to ensure that objectives are being met and consensus is established on the overall conclusions.
  • Support learning and data transfer to CDC programs and internal/external partners.
  • Facilitate communications between internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and validate integrated standard operating procedures (SOP), processes and protocols from data collection to result reporting
  • Engage with stakeholders and team members to aid in the development of figures, reports and manuscripts based on analysis of data collected
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in sociology, psychology, natural science or related field to the responsibilities of the position, with 2-5 years of relevant experience required.
Required: 
  • Experience managing a scientific-focused team
  • Ability to work and build coalitions with partners involved, and develop strategies to effectively convey information to partners.
  • Ability to work independently and yet maintain the flexibility to respond to requests for support of ongoing projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently organize multiple priorities
  • Skills and experience writing project reports, research protocols and manuscripts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining project timeline
  • Ability to work and build coalitions with partners involved, and develop strategies for effectively conveying information to partners
Desirable:
  • Documentation of daily work with ability to communicate project status to a wide audience
  • Experience working with statistical software such as REDCap, SAS, Stata, or similar software
  • Experience with quantitative data analysis software such as MAXQDA, NVivo, RQDA or similar software
  • Experience developing protocols and instruments to collect both qualitative and quantitative data via survey, focus group or interview process
  • Experience in the data analysis of qualitative and quantitative data collected via survey, focus group or interview process
Language Skills:
  • The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English  
REQUIREMENT:
  • Must be United States citizen or permanent resident or have authorization for employment in the United States
