Program Duration: September 8 - December 11, 2020
Short Wave is a daily science podcast from NPR. Every weekday, we give listeners a better understanding of the science around them -- all in about 10 minutes. We might do it through a sound-rich story, a provocative conversation, or maybe a fun explainer off the news. We also aspire to reach new and diverse audiences, by making science accessible and relevant to everyone.
We’re looking for an editorial intern to join the Short Wave team. An ideal candidate would be someone creative, curious, open to learning, and unafraid to jump right in. We’ll ask you to do a little of everything (research, fact-checking, writing, production, social) and guarantee an internship where you’ll stay busy and engaged. A science background (and a sense of humor) a plus.
