Data and Communications Specialist

The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking a
Data and Communications Specialist
Office of Military and Veteran Services
The Senior Specialist for Data and Communications will take the lead in developing, coordinating and implementing assessments and measuring the success of OMVS programs and initiatives in collaboration with the Director. Create communications calendar and develop and deliver multi-channel content in collaboration with OMVS staff and University Communications. Plan, build and maintain database for OMVS in collaboration with Director. Advise OMVS on technology to improve operations. Team with other offices to develop coordinated plan to collect and track information that could improve processes and or impact military-affiliated students. Collaborate with Assistant Director on responding to annual national surveys and similar assessments. Serve as secondary VA School Certifying Official for Post 9-11 Chapter 33 GI Bill benefits in collaboration with Senior Specialist for Student Experience and Success.
Required Qualifications:
·        Master’s Degree in a Social Science, Business or Information Technology field with training and applications pertinent to Higher Education Administration and/or Program Evaluation.
·        Five years minimum experience in the field of Higher Education Administration
·        Experience with visual display of data
·        Experience with strategic communications
·        Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
