P&G is looking for a lead virologist for a virology capability. Responsibilities include:

    * Design any virology pertaining study and execute with perfection.

    * Have the “know how” on propagating and titrating various viruses on relevant cell lines and successfully maintaining them.

    * Identifying different viruses and their properties, through microscopic examination.

    * Performing chemical analyses on substances released by viruses when they interact with organic matter, such as acids, enzymes, and alcohol secretions.

    * Developing models with viruses and cell lines to screen technologies; be able to customize the models to enable study on MoAs of a variety of different technologies.

    * Writing up technical reports and creating presentations for the communication of research results to interested parties.

    * Maintain the viral lab (BSL-2) and keep it audit ready at all times

    * Work on projects that need multidisciplinary collaboration

 

 

Requirements (skills / experiences) for the role:

 

3-5 yrs Postdoctoral research experience in the field of Virology is needed. Details of the experience needed:

    * Experience using laboratory equipment and tools, including infrared spectrometers, analyzing equipment, and sterilizing equipment.

    * Experience collecting and analyzing large volumes of data.

    * Meticulous attention to detail.

    * Exceptional problem-solving skills.

    * Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    * Employing highly specialized serological and molecular techniques in order to study viruses.

    * Desired statistical skills
