The Procurement Analyst interfaces directly with the business units to gather requirements, obtain quotes, “Spot Bids”, or lead formal requests for proposals. The Procurement Analyst then reviews the results and assists in preparing clear recommendations to the business for next steps.  This process provides results to increase productivity, support revenue growth, and provides year-over–year reductions in the total cost of goods and services. 
 
What you’ll do as an Intern – Procurement Analyst:
- Work with all levels of colleagues in making and executing decisions involving Procurement of goods and services to preferred vendors.
- Reviewing, amending, denying and approving requisitions as appropriate
- Suggesting alternative products.
- Providing status and manages colleague order delivery expectations.
- Expediting orders on behalf of colleagues.
- Support sourcing for non-contract and non-standard items.
- Resolving issues that hinder complete “procure to pay” process between vendors and the Bank.

Qualifications

You could be a great fit if you have:
- Experience with spreadsheet, word processing and power point applications.
- A desire to provide great customer service.
- Financial and quantitative data skills for analysis and building business cases measuring cost projections.
- The ability to negotiate.
- Two years of undergraduate experience (rising junior or senior) pursuing a degree in business administration, finance, or economics
Job Demands:
- Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.
- Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
