Ph.D. Scientist/Engineer - Chemistry Design & Synthesis Data Modeling

The successful candidate will work at the interface of organic and polymer synthesis, characterization, and consumer product development against emerging and existing applications. Working closely with colleagues across our varied Business Units, you will help to develop initial technology prototypes more rapidly for technical testing by project teams or consumer testing via in-home or on-site panels. Your speed will be driven by mining our current and historical project data for deeper insights and opportunities, and by using advanced chemistry models to improve product performance or overcome stability, manufacturing, or cost challenges. By identifying and leveraging external information and data sources to supplement our internal datasets, you will enable more rapid and robust decisions by our project teams and business partners.
 
 
    * PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
    * History of collaboration to solve difficult technical challenges;
    * Excellent written and oral communication;
    * Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Highly Desired Skills and Experiences for the Role:
    * Practical experience in the synthesis of small molecules or polymers;
    * Hands-on experience in characterization of chemical ingredients or polymer materials;
    * Proficiency in designing and applying statistical modeling algorithms / machine-learning for data insights;
    * Experience with advanced chemistry modeling techniques and programming (QSAR, MD, Quantum, Python, MATLAB)
