SUMMER 2021 INTERNSHIP--Grants and Contracts Policy and Compliance Intern (Virtual)

Summary
The Grants & Contracts Policy and Compliance team works with stakeholders across the organization to drive a culture of award compliance and mitigate risk through award lifecycle support, monitoring, capacity building, and the development of informed policies. 
Through this internship, you will also have the opportunity to work with GCPC as well as other teams within the finance division to support the design and rollout of dashboards aimed at monitoring financial and compliance related performance, trends and KPIs.
What You’ll be Doing (Essential Duties & Responsibilities)
  • Using PowerBI and other tools assist in the development of dashboards looking at financial and compliance data
  • Work closely with the Associate Director, Award Monitoring and Systems to present dashboard data to highlight key issues.
  • Working closely with the Director, Grants & Contracts develop dashboard for monitoring portfolio assignments and to help identify capacity building needs.
  • Working closely with representatives from finance teams, gather input and assist in the development of a dashboard for the finance division that will allow us to monitor KPIs and performance through metrics.
  • Assist in developing presentations for various stakeholder groups
Required Qualifications
  • Must be an actively enrolled Associate, Bachelor, Master or other post high school education program, or have graduated within 6 months of program start date
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English,
  • Demonstrate collaborative interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully within a team
  • Professional proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PowerBI or similar application
  • Comfortable with financial data and systems
