Associate Package Engineer - Action Brands

Hasbro is seeking an Associate Package Engineer to join our Action Brands team, supporting G.I. Joe & Beyblade!
 
The Associate Package Engineer requires design and execution of brand vision, while balancing considerations such as cost, sustainability, and retail space. This role will collaborate with members of multiple cross-functional teams throughout the development process, including graphic designers, product engineers, marketing, and quality assurance. The Associate Package Engineer also supports projects and solving issues relating to packaging, including, but not limited to, the package development process and workflow, packaging materials and manufacturing, and sustainable packaging efforts.
 
Package engineering is a balancing act. You should be inspired by the brand vision to craft creative package structures, while considering many factors. You’ll balance retail space, cost, sustainability, and more while designing packaging that grabs attention. Close collaboration with internal partners is essential to developing Hasbro’s best in class packaging.


A day in the life of an Associate Package Engineer:

  • You will collaborate with a cross-functional team on one or more brands as the expert in structural packaging
  • You will create and sell in structural packaging concepts that align to brand vision
  • You will create 2D and 3D packaging CAD and specs


What you’ll bring:

  • Packaging Science or related degree, or equivalent experience
  • 6 months - 2 years of experience developing structural packaging for consumer products
  • Ability to create 2D and 3D packaging CAD, preferably with ArtiosCAD and Solidworks
  • Real passion for packaging, and knowledge of materials and manufacturing
