IT Manager
The IT Manager works with management to identify intelligence needs throughout the zoo. Installs and configures computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners. Manages the zoo’s cloud-based systems along with the zoo’s point-of-sales system and customer resource management systems. Works with the business office on setting up analytical reports for distribution to administration.
Essential Functions:
- Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
- Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
- Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
- Works strategically and proactively with manager and executive team to anticipate, plan and implement technology to support the growth and mission of the zoo.
- Develop, produce, and improve recurring reports for assigned departments.
- Automate deployment and maintain delivery of standard reporting.
- Work cross functionally to ensure consistent metric use and standardized definitions.
- Complete ad-hoc analytical requests or process improvements on an as-needed basis.
- Participate in management meetings related to intelligence reporting.
- Respond to the needs and questions of POS users; troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix hardware and/or software problems.
- Maintain existing IT network and adds users, hardware and software as necessary.
- Provide help-desk support to existing users and maintain the network and databases.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets including location/user ID of hardware and software in use.
- Ensure that licenses are included in the annual IT budget and renewed properly.
- Keep current with technical requirements of the position and pursue necessary certifications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
