The Opportunity
We are seeking a Contractor for the Cell Line and Cell Culture Development group. The candidate will get exposure to stable cell line development, suspension CHO cell culture, single use bioreactors, protein purification & analytics. This is a hands-on laboratory position with an exciting opportunity to get an overview of biologics process development and manufacture.
 
This is a 6 month contract position with potential for full time conversion.
Responsibilities:
  • Work under supervision of Denali scientists to execute cell line development, bioreactor process development, protein purification and analytical characterization
  • Follow protocols for filtration, purification and analytical characterization of proteins
  • Perform experiments, analyze samples and summarize key results
  • Support laboratory and inventory management
 
Position requirements:
  • BS/MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field with 0-3 years of relevant experience with either protein expression and/or purification
  • Previous hands-on lab experience with mammalian cell culture including sterile technique, filtration, UPLC/HPLC analytics and protein purification is desired
  • Working knowledge of CHO cell line development for therapeutic proteins is a plus
  • Familiarity with UPLC analytical development/execution and AKTA purification systems is a plus
  • Energetic, self-motivated with ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze and interpret experimental data
