Survivor Benefits Production Support Senior Analyst
The CalSTRS Disability & Survivor Benefits Division is seeking a postive, resilient problem solver with a strong desire to help others while maintaining a focus on the rules and laws that guide our business decisions to join the Survivor Benefits Production Support Team as a Survivor Benefits Production Support Senior Analyst.
Survivor Benefits (SB) has the challenging yet rewarding task of assisting our members’ beneficiaries during a time when they need us most. Within Survivor Benefits exists the Production Support Team dedicated to mitigating the risk of benefit overpayment by researching, identifying, and resolving indirect notifications of death of CalSTRS members and beneficiaries. The team also serves as a resource for the production team performing administrative and analytical support duties, including SB phone and email line support, while managing their own assigned work.

Under direction of the Pension Program Manager I, the Survivor Benefits Production Support Senior Analyst will:
- Independently research, analyze, and review complex benefit payments for accuracy and compliance with Teachers’ Retirement Laws.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to first journey level analysts related to the processing of cases.
- Serve as a team lead/resource to support the organization’s objectives and goals.
