Entry Level Water Resource Engineer
Role description:
As a Water Resources Engineer/ Civil Engineer, you will work directly with program managers, senior engineers, subject matter experts, and clients on various aspects of Nassau County’s capital projects, which call for environmental remediation, permitting/planning needs, design and construction. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of project activities to support the development and implementation of engineering solutions.
Role accountabilities:
- Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
- Manage the delivery of elements of projects in accordance with Management Systems to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets
- Collaborate with other design disciplines, internal and external to Arcadis to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution
- Ensure maximum client satisfaction, championing client care and proactively working with the client
- Demonstrate effective technical, task management, client relationship management and commercial management
- Alongside project leadership, undertake facets of task management role, which may encompasses performing independent research, design, calculation, writing, etc. to meet the objective(s) of the deliverable(s)
- Provide/receive guidance on technical advice to/from team members for project delivery
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 0-2+ years of working experience

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Inclination towards being detail-oriented
- Ability to travel up 10-15% of time
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
