Quality Manufacturing Lead

This role in summary

 

Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Continuous Improvement Lead (Hourly) opening to join our Commercial Laundry organization. This role is for our Fall River, MA location. As Continuous Improvement Lead (Hourly) you will serve as a technical resource and project leader in the development and application of production systems across a variety of manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for the cost, quality, and safety improvements while maintaining daily operations to achieve division goals.

 

Hours - 8 AM - 4:30 PM

 

Pay Rate: $29.00/Hourly

Your responsibilities will include

 

Identify, analyze and solve manufacturing process issues and equipment related problems using Word Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology

Initiate safety, cost, quality, and productivity improvements in the manufacturing operations

Support, develop, and improve sheet metal forming and joining processes and related equipment in a high speed manufacturing environment

Responsible for design, development, testing, and control of day to day, minor, and major projects involving tools, equipment, plant and manufacturing processes

Provide technical support to technicians and work teams and serve as a technical resource for the department

Provide technical support as required for product design, supplier quality and advanced product quality planning.

Determine root cause of problems and implement corrective & preventive actions utilizing methods from lean manufacturing and Six Sigma

Analyze, evaluate and document standards according to quality system requirements such as SOPs, Control Plans, and FMEAs

Minimum requirements

 

Bachelor’s Degree

2+ years of fabrication work experience 

1+ years experience working with data (Spreadsheets, Slides)
