Director, DLA Information Operations

THIS IS AN EXECUTIVE POSITION AND REQUIRES EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE
The Director, DLA Information Operations (J6) is responsible for coordinating and integrating policies, guidelines, procedures and activities to ensure effective, efficient and economical IT planning, acquisition and management in support of DLA and DoD missions and objectives. The incumbent also serves as the Agency Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Management of DLA IT policies and planning, and investment management to include: cyber resilience, technical architecture and infrastructure, emerging technology, research and development, data management and acquisition program management.
Managing the DLA IT resource requirements process; developing and maintaining IT configurations, workload, resource, and personnel management plans to ensure the successful development and operations of DLA standard systems.
Developing, publishing and maintaining operational, technical and systems architectures, data management structures, and system security measures to effectively support the DoD/DLA mission.
The effective allocation of the approximate $1.7B annual Information Technology Management budget to ensure timely infusion of new technology that supports new and innovative business practices and productivity.
Effectiveness of the Agency's goal to achieve savings and efficiencies through systems standardization and commercial as a service offerings.
Ensuring that DLA's entire IT infrastructure can accommodate DLA and DoD's massive business volume in a timely, cost effective, and professional manner that maximizes customer satisfaction by promoting effective and efficient design.
Development, documentation and operation of both internal processes and administrative controls as well as audit readiness requirements for assigned programs.
