The Tucson Police Department seeks an applied policy researcher to serve as Lead Analyst in its Analysis Division. The Lead Analyst role is designed for individuals with advanced and formal research skills including quantitative/qualitative/mixed methods, theoretical backgrounds, and other sophisticated tool kits. As a Lead Analyst, you will have opportunity and autonomy to challenge long-held assumptions of policing and conduct peer-reviewed research to create and guide national best practices.

The Lead Analyst will help improve decision-making in the Department through the discovery and application of emerging research, rigorous examination of data, and the management of both ad hoc and established analytical teams. The successful candidate for the Tucson Police Department's Lead Analyst will bring to bear their experience, expertise, and creativity to help lead the agency toward setting new standards of effective research and data analysis.
