Job Description

IEC Corporation is seeking full time Junior Electrical Engineers for our Sacramento-based office. The candidate will provide electrical engineering support under the direction of Senior Electrical Engineering staff. Junior Engineers will also work with other engineering disciplines and have the opportunity to be mentored and cross-trained.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assisting senior engineers in designing substations, transmission and distribution infrastructure, power generation plants, and renewable energy facilities.
  • Researching technical information, conducting electrical studies, preparing models, performing calculations, and preparing electrical drawings.
  • Analyzing design options and preparing recommendations.
  • Learning and operating various engineering computer models.
  • Learning other engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

The candidate must hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university by employment date. Essential to this position are strong communication skills both in verbal and written form.
