Field Scout Intern

Travel to Washington, Oregon, and Idaho scouting hop yards for pest and disease pressure and relaying that information to growers in our network. Assist the grower services team with cutting edge agronomic research in hops. Most days consist of field work, either scouting yards or data collection for different projects relating to plant health and management. Interns are exposed to a number of different education and enrichment opportunities including an introduction to hop breeding, brewing, supply chain management, sensory analysis, and more. Receive a holistic understanding of the hop industry, from breeder to brewer.

 

  • Must be a junior or senior pursuing a B.S. in an agricultural related field.
  • Must be 21 or older, as brewing and tasting beer is part of this program.
