As a Teacher Support Specialist you will assist students in developing their educational, social, emotional, and behavioral skills Reporting directly to the Special Education Teacher and the Day Coordinator, you will have direct, active, constructive participation with students. You will have active cooperation with teachers, clinical and ancillary staff and must maintain active cooperation with co-workers, clinical staff, medical staff, ancillary staff, community members, families, and supervisors.
A High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates with a high school diploma/ GED and are new to the human services field are encouraged to apply! He or she must have the ability to handle children/ individuals in crisis safely, with compassion. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. $18.27 per hour.
Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills and professional appearance and demeanor are all required for this position.
40 hours: Monday - Friday 7a-3p
***If you pick up shifts between the hours of 7am Saturday through 6:59am Monday there is a weekend differential of $3.00 per hour for hours worked! ***
