Primary Care Fellowship for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants

Cabin Creek Health Systems is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in beautiful, southern West Virginia. Our Advanced Practice Provider Primary Care Fellowship is a year-long transition-to-practice program for newly graduated nurse practitioners and physician assistants that are interested in pursuing a career in primary care. The fellowship program provides a supportive, educational environment that encompasses precepted continuity clinics, mentorship, didactics, research and quality improvement experience to help facilitate that difficult transition from academics to clinical practice. We offer a competitive salary during the year-long fellowship. After graduating the fellowship, we offer employment opportunities as available with an increased salary that equals to a nurse practitioner or physician assistant salary with 2 years experience. We also offer paid time off, full benefits package, and wellness time during the fellowship. Our next cohort of fellows will start September 9th, 2024. Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to be considered. Spots in the program will be offered on a space-available basis. The program will continue to accept and review applications until the class is filled but no later than August 1st.
