Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant/Licensed

We are looking for a full-time & part-time, dynamic, creative and committed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our interdisciplinary therapy team comprised of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, audiologist, child development specialists and marriage & family therapists.

Position entails a flexible work schedule, providing individual services to children ages birth to 18 years of age with varying disabilities and adults.

Duties:

• Provided with top-notch supervision and mentorship
• Assisting with assessments and treatment plans
• Collaborating with team members
• Providing parent education/training
• Providing direct one on one treatment

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited OTA program and hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
• Certification through National Board of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required
• State licensure through California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT) required
• Previous pediatric treatment experience required
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Proof of immunization records and TB required
• CPR certification is preferred

Desirable candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well as part of a team, strong written and verbal communication skill. Multilingual is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Therapy activities may require playing on the floor or settings where the furniture is child size
• Careful attention to the safety of the client and surroundings is required
• Sudden and quick movements may be required
• Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching above head, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Sustained physical activity may be required for up to 60 minutes
