Brand Ambassador Intern (Undergrad, Part-time)

About Homiah:

Homiah is the first Nonya (Malaysian/Indonesian/Singaporean) sauce brand in the country. Our products are based on Michelle’s (founder) grandmother’s recipes and bring an authentic taste of Southeast Asia to American pantries. Homiah has gained significant recognition since our launch just one year ago – we were named a SPINS 10 Rising AAPI-Owned Brand and selected as one of the top 10 brands for Target Takeoff 2023. 
 

About the role:

As a Brand Ambassador Intern, you will play a crucial role in educating consumers about Homiah’s products and shaping our retail strategy. You will learn how to scale an emerging CPG brand, navigate the complex and exciting world of retail, and become an expert in Nonya flavors. Your responsibilities will include:

• Negotiating pricing plans and executing on retail strategy in partnership with store managers in writing, over the phone, and in person.
• Monitoring, documenting, and reporting retail velocity.
• Conducting engaging product demonstrations in various stores, showcasing Homiah products to potential customers and gathering valuable customer insights.
• Supporting the planning and execution of special events and promotions, including store-specific marketing initiatives.
   

About you:

We are looking for a scrappy undergraduate student who is eager to develop their sales and marketing skills, explore the world of CPG and retail, and support a growing brand. The following likely apply to you:

• Have prior internship or work experience in sales and marketing.
• Have experience working in food, retail, or CPG.
• Skilled written and verbal communicator.
• Track record of being a self-starter - perhaps you have started a club on campus, launched a small business, learned a new language, etc.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
• Are a people person.
• Love food!
