Instruments Data Analyst Intern

The Instruments Data Analyst Intern is responsible for 

  • Connecting key aspects of Instruments data including data sources – test, field, quality databases (Orion, SFDC, SAP), quality to assist team with CRM/BI/SAP insights and reporting needs for various business critical metrics.
  • Assisting  with Data cleansing in order to build actionable PowerBI and Celonis dashboards
  • Ability to convert large volumes of data into information critical for instruments team that result from DBS (Danaher Business Systems) activities such as Kaizen workshops, PSP, TPI, VSM

 

 

This position is part of the Instruments Operations and Engineering and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA - hybrid At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about Instruments databases and bring Instruments specific data together for meaningful and actionable business insights
  • Use tools such as PowerBI and Celonis to build dashboards that business users would use on a regular basis to track health of business metrics and action to go into Root cause and corrective actions as needed
  • Use key DBS tools such as PSP, VSM, TPI, Process mining as applicable for the business problem to be addressed

 

The essential requirements of the job include: 

 

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Data Science/STEM/Industrial Engineering
  • Technical writing, Python, SQL, HTML and coding, Databases and modeling skills are desirable
  • Ability to learn and use data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Celonis

 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • PowerBI, Relational Databases, Celonis, Python, SQL
  • Process excellence methodology and projects experience

 

Hybrid (part-time on-site and part-time remote)
