Office Associate (Paid Internship)

Seneca Hills Administrative Internship

Do you have a knack for organization and administration? Are you seeking a ministry to come alongside to utilize and further develop that skill set, while learning how the front and back end of an office work? Our administrative internship will teach you all of that and more, as you learn customer relationships management, how to find new customers, managing our current system organization, and more!

5. Allow students to gain an understanding of how a non-profit operates.
6. Provide interns with an opportunity to develop professional behavior.
7. Allow the student to gain practical insight and understanding into a variety of camp and business operations.

Purpose:

The administrative intern is often the first encounter people have with our organization in the summer. Their purpose is to engage people in a helpful and kind manner, as well aiding in the organization and administrative efforts of our ministry. You would work directly under the supervision of our Office Manager and develop excellent "soft skills" necessary to navigate today's marketplace.

Qualifications:

  • Have a personal and saving faith in Christ
  • Have a positive and teachable attitude with a desire to learn and work as a member of a team
  • Current student studying Accounting, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
  • Familiarity with physical database or database software preferred
  • Familiarity with accounting principles preferred
  • Experience in positive customer service

Responsibilities:

  • Answering the phone in a professional manner and relaying messages or phone calls accordingly.
  • Developing a daily work schedule with the office manager.
  • Opportunities to mentor younger high school age staff in their own faith.
  • Sorting incoming mail between office, camper and staff mail.
  • Printing camper emails.
  • Delivering staff and camper mail and picking up mail from the Snackery mailbox.
  • Staff paperwork tracking
  • Learning and mastering the CampBrain software
