Medical Assistant (Full time M-F)
Job duties will include, but won’t be limited to;
- Rooming patients, obtain history, consent when indicated, scribe when provider is in exam room with patient
- Process pathology, call patients with results, and schedule treatment
- Assisting in skin checks, minor office procedures, and skin cancer surgery
- Suture removal, post-operative wound checks, and dressing changes
- Stocking exam rooms & sterilizing instruments
- Prior authorizations & following up with prescriptions
- Communicate with medical providers
Our ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications to be eligible for the position;
- Self-motivated and be able to work independently, especially in fast-paced environments
- Experience in customer service and be able to assist patients in a friendly and courteous manner
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance
- Punctual & a team-player
- Basic understanding of medical terms and processes, including HIPAA regulations, insurance knowledge, etc.
- EMR trained would be beneficial but willing to train the right candidate
- EPIC experience a plus
