Manufacturing Engineering Internship

Join us for an exciting 10-week internship opportunity in Tulsa, OK! Starting June 3rd, 2024, students will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of departments, allowing you to explore and apply your skills and knowledge in your area of interest and education. The departments include HR, finance, operations, marketing, engineering, D&D, and more. Department selection may be based on current degree path. 

This position is based at the Integration center at Tulsa, within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Group. The AME group is responsible for researching and implementing the use of advanced technology in manufacturing operations. They develop efficient systems, processes and machines that result in high-quality assembled products. They may also take into account how manufacturing processes impact the environment, worker ergonomics and safety. 

Throughout the internship, you’ll have the opportunity to present your ideas and projects to executive leadership, gaining insight into the processes of a major organization. Participate in virtual mixers with international cohorts, attend multiple skill building sessions, and gain exposure to global business perspectives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  • This is a 10 week fulltime onsite project at the Tulsa Integration center.
  • Assist existing engineering staff in various engineering tasks using Solidworks or AutoCAD.
  • Create and improve work instructions
  • Work with vendors to develop bids for engineering projects.
  • Learn to use general assembly tools and use best practices in putting EGMs together
  • Assemble Rigs for testing as needed
  • Understand usage of Bill of Materials, Team center and their importance in new product introduction
  • Understand engineering change management process and assist other engineers in engineering change management tasks.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, entering a Junior or Senior Year.
  • Must possess mechanical aptitude and knowledge of common manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in Solidworks or AutoCAD.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and other basic computer usage skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
