Summer Counselor

As a Summer Counselor in the Children's Program, you will plan and provide direct services to students or individuals, including developing and delivering instruction, support, and positive role modeling in life skills, community utilization, healthcare, and social and recreational activities. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to handle children in crisis safely, and with compassion.

Schedule: 40 hours a week. Start Date: Jun 5th, 2024

 

Key Responsibilities: 

· Assist, support, and instruct students in developing their daily living skills. 

· Provide positive role modeling. 

· Consistently implement all treatment and behavior plans. 

· Follow plans for assigned activities. 

· Ensure the safety of students on the grounds and in the community. 

· Assist in maintaining the safety and appearance of the residential facilities. 

· Effectively communicate with other staff regarding student status and progress. 

· Attend all mandatory training and maintain current certifications. 

· Provide therapeutic crisis intervention, as needed. 

· Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. 

· Any work assigned shall be related to the Employee’s normal duties, except for occasional emergencies.
