Social Worker, MSW

We are hiring full time Social Workers, MSW to join our team at Abraxas Academy in Morgantown, PA. Here, you will help at-risk adolescents BUILD BETTER FUTURES.

Abraxas Academy is located minutes off of Exit 298 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Berks County and provides detention and treatment services for court committed youth.

Salary: $65,000 annually

Job Type: Full-time

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in social work. Preference will be given to those that have at least one (1) year of clinical experience.
  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and FBI). Pre-employment physical, drug test (we do not screen for THC levels), and TB testing.

As a Social Worker Clinician, you will:

Provide clinical services, implement clinical services policy and standards, and support clinical development for the facility.

Social Worker Clinician Responsibilities:

· Provides clinical services to assigned clients as per the guidelines of licensing agencies and ensures compliance with policies and procedures as well as with regulatory and licensing agencies.

· Performs individual and group therapy 

· Provides appropriate documentation which includes: developing treatment plans and monthly reports on client behavior, attitude, achievement, education, and overall progress in the program.

· Analyzes and interprets client records, behavior, progress, and treatment plans in relationship with treatment services.

· Conducts client file reviews in a timely manner to ensure regulatory compliance.

· Participates in Multi-Disciplinary Treatment team meetings (MDT’s) regarding client behavior, diagnosis, and progress as a member of the treatment planning team.

· Ensures all documentation is completed in a timely manner and meets regulatory compliance.

· Ensures that goals and objectives from clients’ individualized treatment plans are being addressed; Modifies clients’ individualized treatment plan as needed.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work and preference will be given to those that have at least one (1) year of clinical experience.
  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and FBI).
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
