Job Description

 

Part time Friday and Saturday 9pm - 9am

  1. Under limited supervision, the CT Technologist is responsible for diagnostic CT imaging and/or radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative in applying technical imaging factors and anatomical positions. The CT Technologist will demonstrate a professional approach in his/her work, with emphasis on patient care, while still maintaining patient safety. Be responsive in the need to use proper radiation safety principles, both for the safety of the patient as well as themselves and co-workers. Assume responsibility for designated area as required. Patients served include infant through adult-geriatric.

  3. directly to the CT Supervisor and the Radiology Manager. No direct supervision; requires a complete “self starter”; monitoring schedule, following imaging protocols necessary to obtain desired results; Functions under the direction of the Director of Radiology Services and the Medical Director of the Radiology Department.

Qualifications

 

  • High School degree or equivalent required. Graduation from an approved and accredited radiology educational program required.
  • Registration from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists and license as a Medical Radiologic Technologist in the state of Maryland is required.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.
