Nature Leader

Redwood Adventure Camp is a wilderness summer camp for youth in northern California. Redwood Adventure Camp fosters opportunities for leadership development, spiritual and personal growth, environmental stewardship, lifelong friendships, fun, and adventure that helps staff and campers alike navigate future challenges and serve their broader communities.

We are seeking a self-motivated college-aged staff member to serve as Nature Leader for all summer sessions. Set in the remote wilderness of Mendocino County, nature education is a vital component of our core principles. You will be expected to create and lead multiple one-hour, experiential education workshops for campers age 10-13. This may involve river hiking, mountain hiking, edible plant identification, or crafting. The aim is to empower young people to learn and practice sustainable relations with the natural environment. We are seeking candidates who want to stretch their teaching and facilitation skills, as well as people excited to cultivate community with fellow staff members to further personal and interpersonal growth.
