Reports To: VP, Procurement 

Job Summary:                   

This internship provides an opportunity to work with the Procurement team to support internal departments, suppliers, and clients. Primary responsibilities include initiatives related to our company’s sourcing and supply chain activities.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Management/Communication Support
    • Assists with internal and external communications and presentations for department led strategic sourcing initiatives.
    • Assist the strategic sourcing team with the vetting and review of the Procurement department’s spend analytics and contract management software solutions.
    • Develop recurring update slides for the cross-functional Media Product Team
    • Support leadership on ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Analytics Support
    • Analyze data to assess category spend history and support upcoming purchasing transactions and negotiations.
    • Identify spend trends and potential savings opportunities for operational (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) savings.
  • Organizational Support
    • Review contract management database for accuracy and assist in contract uploads.
    • Participate in obtaining vendor bids and analysis.
    • Assist in vetting new potential products/services and document findings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • 4-year college degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or other related field in progress.
  • Open to students starting their senior year.
  • 3.0+ GPA

 

Skills

  • Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team.
  • Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment – must escalate appropriate issues to management in a timely fashion.
  • Must be detailed oriented – with strong attention to accuracy and problem solving. “Following-up until resolved” skills are a must.
  • Skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • The employee must have the ability to sit and/or stand at a desk for a minimum of 8 hours a day and complete tasks requiring repetitive use of hands.

  • This job is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

 

Other Requirements

  • Internship length varies – 10 weeks for Summer; temporary role.
