Operations Intern

Reports To: VP, Operations / Safety

 

Job Summary:                

This internship provides an opportunity to work with the Corporate Operations team to support internal departments and clients. Primary responsibilities include projects related to improving Operational Efficiencies and Execution.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analytics Support
    • Analyzes operational data to assess performance, then generate qualitative and quantitative summaries.
    • Identifies trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Assists in mapping key operational processes using flowcharts other tools to demonstrate key steps, owners, handoffs, dependencies, etc.
  • Project Support
    • Assists with data collection, analysis and vendor interaction as it relates to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.
    • Helps with improvements to internal facing ‘Operations Portal’.  Work with team to make revisions based off market feedback.
    • Collaborates with head of Structure and Design to develop recruiting video for new hires.
    • Creates and organizes database of engineering drawings and market/municipality requirements.
  • Safety Program Support
    • Tracks and monitors safety related data at market level to ensure compliance, including telematics.
    • Performs trend analysis on claims related information.
    • Partners with Human Resources and Procurement to begin bid process for current Drug Program Third Party Administrator.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:

Education & Experience 

  • 4-year college degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or other related field in progress.
  • Open to students starting their senior year.
  • 3.0+ GPA

  • Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team.
  • Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detailed oriented – with strong attention to accuracy and problem solving. “Following-up until resolved” skills are a must.
  • Skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • The employee must have the ability to sit and/or stand at a desk for a minimum of 8 hours a day and complete tasks requiring repetitive use of hands.

  • The employee must have the ability to see written documents and computer screens and to adjust focus.
  • This job is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
