School Nurse - Special Education

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Health Services for Special Education the School Nurse will be responsible for meeting the individual health care needs of students; incorporating healthcare plans directed by physicians; complying with the laws relating to student health, including parental and guardian consent; providing appropriate care of ill, medically fragile and/or injured students; providing health information, serving as a resource to teachers, staff, and administrators; and identifying health problems for referral for proper treatment.

Length of Work Year

205 Workdays, Full Time, Monday - Friday

Requirements / Qualifications

Possess a Bachelor’s and a current California Registered Nurse license. Possess or qualify for a School Nurse Services Credential.
