Chemistry Internship
Job Description:
The chemistry intern position is a full-time, paid summer internship working closely with Samirian's full-time team. The ideal candidate has a strong chemical and business background with an interest in gaining hands-on experiences in the chemicals industry.
- Conducts market research and analysis of Samirian's manufactured and distributed chemicals to find new uses and syntheses
- Finds new customers and sales leads based on market research
- Assists sales team with technical questions about our chemicals and their uses
- Joins sales meetings to learn about customers' uses of our chemicals to better
- Assists with interpretation of quality control analysis results
- Helps team with ensuring chemicals' regulatory compliance with government agencies
The internship provides an opportunity to get hands-on experience working in the chemicals industry, learning about various aspects of the industry such as industrial manufacturing processes, sales, communicating chemical information to technical and non-technical audiences, and government regulations and compliance procedures.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related majors
- Strong academic record with 3.0+ GPA
- Interest in chemistry and business
- Past experiences working in chemical research or industry preferred
Pay: $15 -$19/hr.
